Lauren Shell

Lauren has taught various ages and levels at several studios and is currently teaching adult tap dance at G-Force.

She first discovered her love of dance at a very young age as a figure skater. As part of her training for figure skating and ice dancing, she began taking ballet classes around the age of 8 and quickly developed a passion for the art and structure of dance. She continued to study ballet until the age of 13, when she expanded her curriculum to include tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, modern, pointe, Cecchetti, hip-hop, Zumba. She began assisting in teaching various classes around the age of 15.

Throughout her years of dance training, she has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of master teachers and choreographers, including her personal favorites, Danny Wallace and Sonya Tayeh.

Lauren was a member of an award-winning competition team for more than 3 years and participated in a plethora of competitions, including Hall of Fame, NYCDA, Tremaine, and Jump, performing in solos, duets, group numbers, and production numbers. She then continued to take dance classes at a studio in Tallahassee until graduating Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy and sociology in 2011.

She has since continued taking dance classes, as she is always eager to learn from others and perfect her craft. About teaching at G-Force, Lauren said, “At this point in my life, I wish to share my passion for dance as well as my knowledge, skills, and training with others in order to provide them with the proper technique and guidance to allow their individual strengths and skills to flourish.”
