Dina Tigeleiro

Dina Tigeleiro is currently teaching Acro, Ballet, Jazz, and Modern at G-Force, and strives to develop powerful and expressive dancers who share the love for the art. She is Acrobatic Arts certified, Florida Dance Masters certified in Ballet, and received a Minor in Dance from the University of Florida, where she also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Astronomy, and a Minor in physics.

Dina began her dance training when she was 13, at ArtStage Performing Arts Center, in Jupiter, FL. She received Ballet instruction from Linda A. White, Artistic Director, and Charles E. Russell, former Executive Assistant to Robert Joffrey, and a former teacher at Joffrey’s American Ballet Center. She also trained in a variety of other styles including Jazz, Modern, Acrobatics, Musical Theater, Lyrical, and Hip-Hop. While attending UF, Dina received Ballet training from Isa Garcia-Rose, formerly of Dance Alive National Ballet. She also studied various techniques in Modern Dance under Trent D. Williams, and several other visiting choreographers and professional dance companies, such as the Martha Graham Dance Company, and the Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater Company, who selected Dina to perform one of their original works, Islands. Dina was also a company member for six years in UF’s original student-run dance company, Floridance, and served for one year as the Publicity Officer on their Executive Board. During this time, Dina created several solo/duo/trio & group pieces, and collaborated with other choreographers within the company. Dina has also appeared in the movie Step-Up, has performed on Disney stages and parades, has danced in the Miami Heat half-time shows, and has been a back-up dancer for aspiring musical artists.

As a Dance Instructor, Dina is very passionate about choreography and telling stories through movement. She has created top-scoring competition routines ranging from solos to group pieces. As our Acrobatic Arts Instructor at G-Force, she uses a professional curriculum that allows students to combine Acro with Dance through progressive training, and in a way that is both safe and effective for dancers as they grow. In our Ballet classes, Dina utilizes the professional syllabus provided by Florida Dance Masters, Inc., which teaches the French, Russian, and Italian fundamentals of Ballet, creating knowledgeable and diverse dancers.
